Thanks to the aggressive pricing, a couple of Intel's GPUs are even on our list, though we have to raise a caution flag still when discussing drivers. The A770 16GB (opens in new tab) remains at the original launch price, but the A770 8GB dropped to $289 (opens in new tab), with ASRock's A750 at $249 (opens in new tab), and the A380 at $119 (opens in new tab) (MSRP on those last two). Intel meanwhile has official cut the price of the Arc A750 to $249 - which suggests the cards probably aren't selling all that well. Prices continue to fluctuate a lot, and there are some good deals on the lower tier RDNA 2 cards like the RX 6650 XT for $259 (opens in new tab), or RX 6600 for $209 (opens in new tab) - that last brings back memories of the RX 570 glut in 2018. On the AMD side, the RX 6950 XT can be had for $629 (opens in new tab), the 6900 XT has jumped up to $888, and RX 6800 XT starts at $564 (opens in new tab). But if you want to stick with a reputable brand, RTX 3050, RTX 3060, and RTX 3060 Ti are about as high as you'd want to look, with models from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY, and Zotac that aren't too egregiously priced. Newegg still has some "new" brands showing up, despite cracking down on fake models from China, some with identical designs and appearance other than the fan stickers. Previous generation RTX 30-series and RX 6000-series cards are more of a mixed bag. Hopefully that will change soon with the upcoming RTX 4070 (non-Ti) launch.
It seems supply has finally caught up to demand, though prices for the latest generation GPUs are all still very high compared to their previous generation counterparts' MSRPs. The ASRock 7900 XT (opens in new tab), Sapphire RX 7900 XT Pulse (opens in new tab), and XFX 7900 XT (opens in new tab) are at Newegg for $799–$829, making that GPU far more enticing, while the cheapest XTX cards are the ASRock RX 7900 XTX (opens in new tab) and PowerColor RX 7900 XTX (opens in new tab) for $999. The same goes for RTX 4070 Ti (opens in new tab) that launched in January and has been mostly available with a starting price of $800 (opens in new tab).ĪMD's Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT (opens in new tab) can also be found for their base MSRPs, sometimes below that mark. The GeForce RTX 4080 (opens in new tab) can be found starting at MSRP as well, with multiple RTX 4080 cards listed at Newegg (opens in new tab). The GeForce RTX 4090 (opens in new tab) has been routinely sold out or overpriced since it launched in October, but Newegg currently shows a Zotac card for $1,599 (opens in new tab) - by a marketplace seller, but at least it's at MSRP.
There's good news, of sorts, in that prices on most of the latest generation AMD and Nvidia cards are now pretty close to the official MSRPs.
